Hello and welcome to my blog.

I got fed up with the 9 to 5 working lifestyle and wanted more out of my life, so after months of research I finally found the answer. It was MAY 2010 when I got involved with internet marketing and got serious with making a living online and working from home.

This blog is where I come to place my thoughts and tell it how it is from what I have learnt. From the early posts showing my excitement and eagerness, to the later posts of how everything is falling into place and making sense.

In time, this blog will have a blueprint on how exactly you can make a living online. But for the time being it is an online journal which visitors can learn from. If you are new to the internet marketing game, then please, please stick at it and don’t give in. It is not an overnight fix to your problems, it will all make sense and fall into place very soon if you are willing to put a few months of effort in now.

This post is going to focus on the basic points that you need to get right before you can even think of making money online. Over the last few months I have realised that there are certain areas to making a living online that you had better start learning. If you get these specific practices right then eventually it will all come together and make sense. It will also give you a massive confidence boost as these areas will always play a part in whatever product or services you choose to promote online.

So, what are these areas that are so important to gaining success online…? Well they all come under the umbrella of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). SEO is a massive subject on its own, and over time you will not go far wrong if you can teach yourself as much of this subject as you possibly can handle.

Forget all the quick money making schemes out there, they will come and go, but SEO will always be at the foundations of working from home and making a living online. Like I have mentioned, it is a massive subject and a very daunting prospect if you set out to learn everything within the subject. In fact, it will be impossible, the best way to attack it is to take a step back, look at what you need to do to succeed online then pick out the important sections of SEO that will get you where you want to be. This is what I have been doing lately and now I am confident that I will succeed online from the knowledge that am slowly gaining through SEO.

So, what do you need to do if you are promoting anything online? You need to be seen, you need to get noticed. You can have the best website, the best product, or the best information to give, but if nobody can see you or notice you then you are going to fail. this is where your knowledge of SEO will come into play and get you noticed. In particular, get you noticed by the correct audience, eg. If you are in the dog niche, get noticed by other people within this niche, and not by somebody within the cat niche. With the help of the correct SEO, you will get noticed, get noticed by a targeted audience, and have a good solid foundation to help you to online success.

So, how do you get noticed online, and by the correct audience? For this posting I shall be concentrating on keywords, and keyword research, 1 of the most important aspects of SEO, learn it, and specialise in it. In the very near future I will release an e-book about keyword research that will go into it in more depth, but for the sake of this posting I shall explain it the best I can.

What are keywords, and why are they so important? When you want information about a certain subject or look for a specific website address, you enter keywords or phrases into your search engine. Once you have entered your keywords, the search engine spiders, or bots, will crawl the web to find relevant information that match your input. This is how you get the the return of results that match up to what you are looking for. The more relevance that keywords have on a website to those that match your search engine input, the higher up the results page that website will be placed. This also tells you how important keywords are to your website, the importance of getting onto the first page of the returned results page of search engines. How often do you scroll down to the bottom of the results page? now n then? How often do you go to the second page? Once or twice? How often do you go to page three, four or more? I never do, why? Because these pages have the least relevant website information to what I am looking for… right?

What is keyword research? This is what you have to do to find out what people are placing into the search engines to find relevant information within your chosen niche. This is a must if you want targeted traffic coming to your website, a hundred visitors a day interested in your website is far better than a thousand visitors a day who have no interest. I have a piece of software that I paid for to help me with this as it can be a very time consuming. There are free tools out there but I guarantee that when you get more involved with this subject you will invest in a paid version as it helps massively. I shall go into more detail within my e-book to be re-leased very soon.

Once you have completed your keyword research you will then have a set of keywords and phrases that will be relevant to your niche. These will then be used within your website, or placed within articles you submit about your website for instance. So now when people submit keywords/phrases into their search engines that match your keywords or phrases, your website or articles will get picked up by the search spiders because of the relevance. On top of all the other SEO tactics that you will be gaining knowledge of, your website will begin to rise up the search engine results pages (SERPS). This will then be the start of a steady flow of targeted traffic visiting your website for the reasons of your choice.

Hopefully now you can start to realise how effective and powerful SEO is to your online efforts. When I first started out, SEO used to scare me, I thought I would not have a clue, what a silly mistake to make and how wrong was I. Together with all the information available online, I now own a number of books on SEO. I just love reading up on the subject, as I know the more knowledge I gain, I will eventually be able to promote anything I like online and get noticed, and in return, get visitors, give information, help others, and gain sales.

As I have mentioned, it would be impossible to go into more detail within this post as the subject matter is massive. There will be many more posts to come that will cover SEO as a whole and I am in the process of planning to get together a number of e-books that will cover each category in more detail.

I hope that this post will get you to look into the art of SEO and not be frightened of it. Stop chasing the money, teach yourself SEO, then the money will follow.

Well it’s been a while since I last posted but it’s been for a very good reason which I will get to soon. First of all I want to say thank you to all the comments (well the nice one’s anyway) that have been left. Because I have been away I have not checked my comment’s and I found that I got over 200 hundred within the spam box. I am currently in the process of getting through them and will reply to all the questions that have been asked. Many of the comments have been spam and automated messages left by idiots, and some by people who just seem to enjoy posting abuse as they seem to get a kick out of it I guess. What a sad life some people live eh? I am sure there are more important issues in life to be getting on with.

OK, this post is for all the people out there who actually want to use the internet to make a living online. I just want to comment on something that has been getting to me lately then I will inform you of what I have been discovering about the marketing world.

There are over 1 trillion pages of useful information online, that’s right, over 1 trillion pages of useful, intruiging, fascinating, fact filled pages for us to indulge in absolutely free of charge. The World Wide Web is an amazing platform and opportunity that has been given to us and so we must embrace it fully and reap the benefits, or so you would think. 

It seems to me that everybody I speak to.. either tells me who they were chatting to on Facebook the previous night, who they have been tweeting, or tells me to go and check out a funny video on You-tube that they have seen. Don’t get me wrong, these social network platforms are great and I do use them myself from time to time, although I do not have a Facebook account yet. I say that because these platforms can be used for some great leveraging in the world of internet marketing, and that is why I will be using them in the near future, purely for business, marketing, and making money online.

If you are 1 of the millions of people spending/wasting all that time on social network sites, then why don’t you use at least some of that time to learn how to make a living online?

I have been learning the online marketing game for about 9 months now and I can honestly say that it is the best career choice I have made. I started to learn the marketing game from scratch and I believe that if you want to do it properly, then it will take time. I don’t want to learn how to make a quick buck, I want a career online making money for the rest of my life. Just imagine it, your own boss, working from home, at times to suit you, more free time for you and your family, and if you do it right and put in the hard work now then you can have more money than you ever imagined.

I hope I have struck a nerve with at least 1 person and it will make a difference to somebody’s online antics and habits. I was once that person wasting time online doing nothing but now I have a purpose everytime I switch my computer on and it’s the best feeling ever.

This post will not be much use to most readers of this blog, sorry, I just fancied a little rant. I will now start my next post which will definately be of use to new starters in the world of online information marketing. Hi folks, Its been a while since I posted but no sweat as life just gets too busy to be in cyberspace allday eh. Just a quick post to keep google happy I guess, as I really need to get some shut eye as work life is crazy at the moment.

The marketing game has been on my mind a lot lately and although I have not actually been active online, it does not mean I don’t think of online money making ideas everyday. In fact it does the world of good to get away from your computer screen, to think a lot better and not get tied up in cyberworld too much.

What I have been doing when I do get online is just looking about at all the different money making ideas that are out there. Obviously, I think I am savvy enough now to know what is b.s. and what is genuine out there. Now after checking out all the ways to make an income online, I think I have found what I really want to get my teeth into and start stepping up my game.

I wont get into what I am actually going to be doing but what I am trying to get over is this. Don’t get too hung up on a certain way to go about your new career online as there are dozens of ways to make money online and work from home ideas. I was getting a bit flustered that I could not do or cope with my initial plans so I changed attack and went and found a different angle, which I now feel comfortable with. Together with a few other ideas, I can now focus, study, and teach myself how to master new skills that I feel very happy with.

Do your research, enjoy and feel comfortable with what you are doing. If it does not feel good, or too hard, or too much to handle, then move on. If you enjoy and feel comfortable with what you are doing, then you will look forward to learning and mastering what you are doing also.

Well thats it for now, a liitle short I know. It may seem a bit obvious to some, but hopefully it will help somebody out there who is feeling a little daunted by all the money making ideas out there. Be patient, you will find the marketing game that suits you.

Hello my beloved readers and followers( I wish), no really, thanks for all the advice and comments I am getting, it is a great community we have here, loving it. OK, yet again I am not going to be giving out any secrets of how to make  millions online just yet, you have to wait for that, it is coming though, I promise.

Well, I have been settling into my new home and I am almost finding some time now to get this marketing game really up and running. I have so many ideas to investigate its great to be so excited about something that I am involved in and which is going to finally get me out of the 9-5 rat race.  We need to be 100% focused on this game or otherwise it will not happen, it is not a hobby or passing interest, it is the start of a new career and the rest of your life.  That is the first bit of important advice for newbies, if you want it to work, take it seriously, or it will not happen for you.

When I first started this blog I was saying how I was never going to go back to working on a building site ever again, and that I was going make this marketing game work. Well, I have gone back to the building work, as I guess I was getting a little carried away with finding out about all the money making opportunities online. However, there is now a massive difference with my outlook and attitude to my job that was not there before.  Why? Because instead of going to work and being depressed and spend allday moaning about it, I am now in the process of doing something about it. So now I know there is a massive light at the end of that dark depressing tunnel  because I know I am not going to be covered in crap and dealing with jobsworths for the next 30 years.

That is the next bit of advice I can give,  if you are thinking of getting into marketing, then actually start doing at least a little something everyday. Do some researching, get a blog set up, anything to get yourself involved basically. I can gaurantee it will have a dramatic improvement on your outlook and attitude towards life and your career in general. Get that zest for life back as its not as bad as we think, we just get stuck in a rut and our own little comfort zones. I have said before, there is a world of riches just outside our comfort zones.

OK, now this next little bit of advice is basically what I have learnt in the past couple months. It is about all the marketers sales letters we come across out there, claiming this ‘n’ that and how easy it is to make a packet within a matter of days.

The first issue I have is when certain marketers, mainly the big players claim that their product will earn you XX amount of thousands of dollars within days. They offer you the exact model they used to make their thousands for a crazy small fee. They show us receipts after receipts of proof, and testimonials after testimonials of recent product users. I am not saying that these are false claims, far from it, it would be unlawful, most are probably very true indeed.  There is one very large important detail, or fact, that they never seem to mention in their fantastic sales pages.

What is it? It is the size of their subscriber list, it is probably in the thousands. The satisfied testimonials left by other marketers are also aided by the size of their subscriber lists. It is like the secret circle of big listed marketers who all big each others products up so that it looks like anybody can make money if they purchase the offered products. You purchase the product, you set it up, you dont make a penny. Why? Because you realise you have nobody, a targeted market to be precise, to offer the product to.

You are on that marketers list of targetted buyers together with thousands of other targetted buyers. If only a certain percentage buys then that marketer is quids in. Unless you have a substantial list yourself, then do not get taken in by the promise of making thousands. As a newbie, that is another bit of important advice, build your list before you can even dream of making any subsstantial amounts of money.

Hopefully that was a  bit of advice that will help you on your way in the world of making money online. I want to write more but Kath is giving me that look of  “how long are you going to be on that computer for?” So in a day or 2 I will have a part 2 to this post maybe and tell a little more of what I have learned and what to look out for when starting out.

Hey all, just a quick post to say i am back. i have just gone through a couple of tough crazy weeks. I am still having a few issues but at least now i can start to concentrate on making some money again.

It was all going well, blog posts, videos, and generally getting on with the master plan of starting to make a living online when it all started to go wrong. First of all, what little income I was getting to help me online and pay the bills, ended, as work yet again dried up. The economy is totally knackered over here in the UK, this is one of the major reasons why i am determined to make this online game work big time for me. We cannot rely on the Government any more to give us the lifestyles we all deserve, we need to get it done ourselves.

On top of the employment issues, my pc then decided to catch a bug, a nasty bug. I cannot use any media tools now, such as video uploading, which regular readers will know was my only form of posting. All of my major applications which i use to market are also out of action including Skype. So i dont know when i will get it all fixed, but i am on the case.

Then the last stumbling block I had to face was a house move, although it has got in the way, I am so happy with the new place. Kathryn, Evan and I will be so happy living here it is going to give us a massive boost to succeed in bigger and better things from now on. I can now settle down and get serious about making money online.

Ok, I know  it was not a very informative post about the online marketing game, but I feel better now.  Being offline  for weeks and having these issues really got to me in the end as i am so passionate about making this work.  I look forward to catching up with fellow bloggers and MWA students, its good to be back.

Hi, how you all doing, I’m back with my latest video release today.. and boy, am I getting fed up with all the utter crap out there.

In my last post I did say that I would be back with a report on how my new discovery using outsourcing was going to change everything. Well that has not changed, but for now, It will have to go on the back burner, why? Because i have decided to have a re-think and I am probably going to change my attack on how I want to earn a living online.

I have decided on this as I do not want to be associated with other so called marketers who are totally in the game for themselves only. If i go through with the process of marketing that i was planning, then I will just get immersed and blend in with all the bad people, I am not going that way. The video will explain.

You may have noticed that I have now added an opt-in box to my blog. If you are looking to get updates from me on a daily basis letting you in on all the latest scams, sorry, marketing ideas, then do not opt-in. I will only be sending out updates or information on maybe a weekly basis only, when i have found anything that is honest, truthful, and ultimately worthwhile you having a look at.

Hi folks, sorry i have not posted for a while. I have had a few issues to deal with, mainly technical (again). Big thanks to those who have helped me out, you know who you are, I appreciate it big time.

Ok, this won’t be a long post as I have added a video to explain it a bit better, mainly to get me used to doing videos to be honest, but I hope I get it across ok.

The main reason for this video post is to explain how important it is to keep your wits about you in the marketing game. I want it to explain that if we want to make money in this game, we need to start to analyse how we are getting marketed to. We need to learn how successful marketers use the sales funnel to suck prospects in, and make the big bucks with the high priced back end products.

I understand that no traffic to my websites, means that i keep on getting up, day in day out, 5 days a week, 50 weeks a year, for another 30 years to do a job that i hate big time!
