ALL CHANGE FROM NOW
Well, here we go, my first meaningful blogpost, and the first steps to a new life.
If your reading this as an experienced marketer, or a fresh newbie like me, thanks, and welcome to you both.
Quick intro.. my names Nicky Garland, im 36, live just outside Cardiff (thats the Capital city of a Country called Wales, that borders England). Im a construction worker that is out of work due to the sad state of the economy, but i now realise that is a blessing in disguise, as my career now belongs online.
Weeks ago, i was working my butt off on building sites, for 10 hours a day, covered in crap, taking orders off dipsticks, and getting paid absolute peanuts.
Before that, i had made my way up the managerial ladder, become a foreman, started earning decent money, then the recession hit. I got made redundant, spent 6 months on benefits, managed to get back into work, but had to start from the beginning and get my tools out again. Now that work has dried up again, ive decided enough is enough.
Im not slaving for pennies, for some ego driven, authority abusing, power tripping site manager, any more! (wish i could swear)
Its going to change from now!
Sorry if i babbled on a bit then, but i want to come back and read this post again and again, because it will just reinforce the reasons why i will succeed online and never step foot on a building site again. Well, only in my nice new car, to get them site managers to show me around the nice new house they have slaved over to build for me!
Right lets get back on track.. as stated, im a serious newbie to the online marketing game, 2 months maximum up to now. iIhave not made a penny, i dont have a penny, but luckily, i have not wasted a penny. I was very fortunate to come across a man called Alex Jeffreys while doing research online. Im very lucky to have come across Alex’s name early on in my research, as i notice that if you do not get a mentor in this game, then you can very easily get bogged down, get ripped off, and finally give up the ghost. So if you are reading this as a newbie, lost, suffering from information overload, and wondering how to make a living online… Relax and stop where you are right now!Just as i found out about Alex, he was releasing an e-book (Guru’s Nightmare), i downloaded it, read it, loved it, then enrolled on his coaching course all within a matter of days. It was all very surreal, im not at all superstitious or believe in fate etc, but this was spooky. I had just lost my job, i decided to make a change, look for a new career, where i could be my own boss and work from home. Then straight out of nowhere was this opportunity to change my life forever. Although as of yet i have not started to make a living online, i already realise that i am in the early stages of a life changing situation. I cannot believe how much i have learnt in the last 3 weeks from Alex’s coaching program. I am loving every moment, from Alex’s enthusiasm, to the support of his team, and to the members in the forum. I now have a plan and can focus on where i want to be with all the support i can wish for. I want to show now that i am proof that a lad who knew nothing of internet marketing weeks ago can now be confident to start to earn a living online. I want get other newbie wannabe marketers to join me and enjoy the journey together. Believe me, it is possible, you just need the support and guidance, dont do it alone!
Over the next few weeks and months i will be reporting my progress through this blog. Come and join me and get absolutely tons of advice, information, and support to help you on your way to a new life online. I hope my first post was of interest, a little long i know, but just wanted to get it all out now, as this will be remembered from where it all began. Experienced marketers- im all ears! Nice blog mate and you have explained it all well. I think the good part of your experience is that you have not wasted a penny yet, coz there are people inside and out of this forum who spend tons of money before they get to the right place.
Many things that happen in our lives dont initially seem to be good, but these unexpected circumstances turn out to be in the best of our interests just that we are not aware of it until we look back to our past sometime in life later .. if you understand what I mean. One of my experiences was when my name had been removed from the admission list in university due to delay in paying fees. That incident is the turning point of my life and my family .. in a good way.
I am also on Alex’s MWA3.0 course and will see you on the inside as well. So keep it coming.

Great first post Nicky. I feel your pain, I had an almost identical experience in the building trade, worked my way up then got made redundant. IT SUCKS.
It seems you were lucky to come across Alex so early in your career, I wasted nearly $3000 before I bit the bullet and joined his program. Onwards and upwards.

Good to see that there’s another student on this side of the pond (I’m in Ireland myself).
I can sympathise with your situation. I have a couple of friends in the construction industry which is now in tatters in this country and, of course, they lost their jobs.
Having read your intro, I wish I’d put some more background stuff in my own blog post. Maybe I should go back and tweak it!

Yes it’s actually a plugin that is really cool to have. Whenever you post comments on other peoples blog it will show the last post you made on your own blog so people can just click on it to go straight to your blog.
Search “commentluv” when you’re signed in to WordPress and you should be able to find it, install it and activate it. Pretty cool!

Great start! Although my story is not like yours, at the end we are in the same boat.
I also get enrolled in Alex’s course and I’m loving every bit of it. I consider myself a newbie because after several months with experiments online, I didn’t get any money, but now I’m sure I will succeed. Not only because of Alex, who is a great, great coach, but because my fellow students (like you) are full of energy and I believe we are passing energy from one to another.
