LESSON IN MARKETING
Hi folks, sorry i have not posted for a while. I have had a few issues to deal with, mainly technical (again). Big thanks to those who have helped me out, you know who you are, I appreciate it big time.
Ok, this won’t be a long post as I have added a video to explain it a bit better, mainly to get me used to doing videos to be honest, but I hope I get it across ok.
The main reason for this video post is to explain how important it is to keep your wits about you in the marketing game. I want it to explain that if we want to make money in this game, we need to start to analyse how we are getting marketed to. We need to learn how successful marketers use the sales funnel to suck prospects in, and make the big bucks with the high priced back end products.

I’m sorry you haven’t been so well, and I can understand feeling down in the dumps. I’m up and down with those kinds of emotion, too.
You put together a good video there on the sales funnel, very engaging. I watched it all the way through and I can understand you wanting to snap the product up.
My husband said an important thing to me about that reaction just yesterday. It’s called “Hypnotic Selling”. As you said, these guys are masters at what they do – they train in how to do it. It’s on the basis of ‘Neuro-linguistic Programming’ NLP, which uses keywords and subconscious techniques to persuade us at a deep inner level to buy into whatever they are promoting. I’m not saying it’s anything bad (though I used to think so!), it can be a helpful technique. And of course I wasn’t on the call, so what do I know?
But what I am saying, politely as I can, is…you’ve already got most of what you need to make a success of your business. Yes, the techie stuff might still be a headache, but you’ve got all those forum friends who can help you crack that.
And though the product sounds wonderful, and I wasn’t on the call to fully appreciate the great stuff it can do – which I don’t for a moment doubt – I still think its better, more ethical and wiser in the long run, just to plough on with what we started at MWA3.0. Build relationships, get seen and heard on your blog, facebook, twitter, youtube, forums etc. etc.
As long as you are being yourself, true to yourself, what you have to share will have power. Because nothing is more powerful than the truth.
Empires can be, and are, built on lies – but one day, as we have seen so many times in the corporate world, they will all come tumbling down. Think Enron, Robert Maxwell and many more…
Nicky, don’t take what I said as any kind of criticism, it’s not intended as such. But I think you have a special something. You are a deeply genuine person and your emotional commitment to this journey is evident – as it should be. I wrote a blog post about being real – and you sure are that.
I like listening to your story. I know times are hard, but I am confident they will get better. Times are tough for me, too. I gave up my job for this marketing journey and I haven’t made a red cent yet!
But I am learning a lot about me and about marketing. AJ is doing a good job there. And though affiliate marketing is a money spinner – it only works at its best when people know, like and trust the affiliate themselves.
So, glad that you’re back. Stick with it and things will start to add up. 1 + 1 = 2, then 3, then 4, then more – much, much more!

The funnel can really suck you in, some funnels are pure rubbish, but others do have you reaching for your credit card.
I have banned myself from buying anything online just now unless it is totally essential.
Anytime I go on a webinar, except the coaching ones, I expect that last 10-15 minutes to be a hard sell for something.
I am glad you didn’t fork out your $1000, and I want to bet you never buy that software, because you will be racking in the cash and wont need it.

Glad to hear you are doing well, I see you’ve been going video crazy like I have, which is a good thing.
Doing the videos have been getting easier for me, it’s just the publishing part that’s giving me a headache right now, but I shall figure it out soon enough.
Definitely agree that the key is learning how we are marketed to and use that to our advantage. After all those that know how to do this effectively and with dignity will come out as winners.
I, like Sally am no longer purchasing things. When and if I need something then I will go for it but for now studying and then implementing is what I’m doing.
